It’s been a lovely week here on Cape Cod. I’m swimming most days and horsing around with the kids in the pool.
I’ve mostly taken the week off from bridge study. Greg and I have done some Cuebids work, but we decided to take the week off from formal practice. We did a pretty good job going over the hands at the end of the day in Philadelphia, so we don’t have a ton to discuss. There are a few things to add and resolve in the notes. But we’re feeling pretty good with where things are.
I think taking a little break after a long tournament is probably a good thing, but I don’t want to let that last more than the week. It’s hard to balance work and family. I don’t see my niece and nephew that often—getting three full weeks with them is amazing. It’s easy to pop down to my office when I have a class or a lesson scheduled. But making time for the unscheduled work is difficult—it feels like time I should be spending with them. But they spend a lot of time camped in front of the television playing Minecraft, so I just need to be better about utilizing that time to work on bridge.
I played a couple of robot duplicates on Shark this week. I like their interface and their robot. I’m hoping we can help them grow their games so there are more results to compare against. Check it out here. If you use the link, I get credit for referring you. There is also a free game for 0-5 players.
They’re always looking for feedback to make their game better, so please send comments to support@sharkbridge.info.
For those of you who played in Philadelphia, I’d love to hear about your experience. What did you think of the playing site? How were your results? Can you see progress from your Leveling Up program? Have you spent time going over your results? What have you learned? Please share in the chat!!
