I hope you all had a great Fourth of July. Mine was spent on the lake with friends. I manned the grill for burgers and hot dogs. And then a fire and s’mores. Can’t beat summer here on the lake in Michigan!
I head home on Wednesday. After a couple of days in NY, I’m headed to Cape Cod for a week before the ABTA conference and the NABC in Philadelphia.
A reminder that the annual Spark! auction benefitting the ACBL Education Foundation is happening through July 13. There is a special game on Monday July 21 at 7:00pm ET, and you can bid to play with one of the celebrities who have donated their time. You can also bid for the chance to play an online game with a celebrity. Including me!
I haven’t done a lot of bridge this week, other than some teaching and playing with students. We’ve been playing some non-bridge games after the kids go to bed. We’re really enjoying The Crew, a cooperative trick-taking game where you have different goals each hand, such as one person has to take the first two tricks, another has to win a trick with a 3, etc. I highly recommend it.
I haven’t fit in much time practicing with Greg this week. Just some Cuebids. Tough to take a vacation this close to the Nationals. We’ll ramp it back up the next week or two.
I encourage you to share your progress in the comments. We’re all in this together!!
Have a great week.
